Code of Conduct

This document outlines the expected standards of behavior for all participants within the Graphify community. Our goal is to foster a welcoming, inclusive, and productive environment where developers can collaborate, learn, and grow.

The collective intelligence and shared effort of our community lead to the most robust solutions. We actively seek partnership, knowledge sharing, and mutual support, and we encourage constructive dialogue, the open exchange of ideas, and a willingness to help fellow developers overcome challenges.

Empathetic problem solving

We approach technical challenges and interpersonal interactions with a genuine effort to understand the viewpoints of others — regardless of background, experience level, or technical stance — through patient guidance, thoughtful feedback, and solutions that are both effective and considerate.

Trust and transparency

We operate with transparency in our communications, decisions, and processes: open about our goals, honest about our limitations, and acting with integrity. Trust earned through transparent actions strengthens our community bonds.

Continuous learning and growth

Curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed, and the pursuit of knowledge is a shared journey. We support members in acquiring new skills, sharing expertise, and embracing opportunities for personal and professional development.

Responsible innovation

As creators and users of technology — particularly AI — we consider the broader impact of our work and prioritize safety, fairness, privacy, and accountability in how solutions are designed and deployed.

1. Purpose

This Code of Conduct articulates the principles and behaviors that define our shared environment. It establishes clear expectations for how everyone should interact, collaborate, and contribute, so Graphify remains technically excellent, respectful, inclusive, and a positive experience for all.

2. Scope and applicability

This Code applies to everyone participating in the Graphify community in any capacity — members, contributors, maintainers, moderators, event speakers, and partners — across all official spaces, including our Discord server, GitHub repositories and discussions, websites, mailing lists, forums, social accounts, and any designated communication channel. By participating, you agree to abide by it.

3. Community conduct

Respectful and professional communication

All communication should be clear, honest, respectful, and professional — in chat, forums, issues, email, calls, announcements, private messages, and at events. Be considerate of others' time, give constructive feedback, and avoid demeaning, dismissive, or inflammatory language.

Respect for global and cultural diversity

Graphify is a global community spanning many cultures, languages, and experience levels. Be mindful of varying communication styles and perspectives, and keep interactions inclusive so everyone feels valued and comfortable participating fully.

Reliability and community integrity

Act with honesty and accountability, fulfill commitments to the community, and take ownership of your actions and contributions. Your conduct reflects on the whole community.

Inclusive participation and equal treatment

Everyone deserves respect and dignity regardless of background or identity. We work to remove barriers to participation and to create an equitable experience for all. Discrimination or preferential treatment based on personal characteristics is contrary to our principles.

Anti-discrimination and anti-harassment

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward discrimination, harassment, abuse, threats, or intimidation based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic — in any official space, online or in person.

Bullying and harmful behavior

Bullying, coercion, intimidation, stalking, unwelcome advances, and aggressive or exploitative behavior are prohibited. Every member shares responsibility for a safe, supportive, and positive environment.

4. Safety, privacy, and boundaries

Personal safety and well-being

The safety and psychological well-being of members is paramount. We foster a culture of mutual care where members look out for one another and report concerns that could jeopardize safety.

Privacy and personal information

Do not share private or personal information about anyone without their explicit consent. Doxxing, stalking, and the unauthorized use of personal data have no place in Graphify.

Respecting personal boundaries

Communicate considerately, seek consent for more personal engagements, and respect stated preferences. Unwelcome persistence, demanding personal information, or disregarding boundaries are violations.

5. Responsible technology and AI discussions

Ethical technical discussions

Conduct technical discussions — debugging, security, and AI included — ethically and responsibly, considering the implications of technologies and aiming for constructive problem solving and shared learning.

Prohibited technical misuse

We prohibit promoting, discussing, or facilitating harmful, malicious, or illegal uses of technology or AI — including malware, denial-of-service, unethical data scraping, or tools for exploitation — or anything that violates laws or the rights of others.

Responsible security disclosures

Handle vulnerabilities responsibly: report findings through appropriate channels (project maintainers or a security contact) rather than disclosing them publicly in a way that could be exploited. See our security page for how to report.

6. Moderation and enforcement

Community moderation

Dedicated moderators and community leads uphold these standards, facilitate constructive discussion, and ensure everyone can engage safely and respectfully.

Enforcement actions

Violations may result in actions proportionate to the infraction — a warning, a requirement to stop, temporary restrictions, permanent removal, or blocking from future events. Enforcement protects the community and reinforces our standards.

Fair and consistent application

Policies are applied fairly, consistently, and objectively, with careful consideration of the circumstances and impact, and with respect for the privacy of those involved.

7. Reporting concerns

Reporting violations

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code, please report it — via the channels communicated by moderators or by emailing founders@graphifylabs.ai. Include as much detail as possible (what happened, when, where, and who was involved) so we can investigate effectively.

Confidential handling

Reports are handled with confidentiality and respect. We protect the identity of reporters to the greatest extent possible, consistent with conducting a thorough investigation.

No retaliation

Retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith or assists an investigation is strictly prohibited. If you experience or witness retaliation, report it immediately.

8. Review and updates

This Code will be reviewed periodically and may be updated as our community evolves. Significant changes will be communicated transparently so everyone is aware of the current standards.
