Your code, in Slack.
Ask Graphify about your indexed repositories without leaving Slack. Follow source citations from a question to the code behind the answer.
Graphify builds a knowledge graph of the repositories you connect. In Slack, mention @Graphify in an enabled channel or send the app a direct message to locate functions, explore dependencies, and investigate the impact of a change. Channel answers appear in a thread, with evidence you can check against your source.
Open Graphify to connect Slack →
Before you connect
- You need a Graphify account, a workspace you can administer, and an indexed repository. See plans and pricing.
- Use the same verified email address in Graphify and Slack. Each person asking questions must be a member of the connected Graphify workspace.
- You need permission to install apps in your Slack workspace. Your Slack administrator may need to approve the installation.
- One Slack workspace connects to one Graphify workspace, and each Graphify workspace has one active Slack connection.
Connect your workspace
- Sign in at app.graphify.com, select your workspace, and connect a repository. Wait until indexing finishes.
- Open the workspace's Integrations page. Choose Slack, then Connect Slack.
- Check that Slack shows the intended workspace, review the requested permissions, and authorize Graphify. You return to Graphify after installation.
- Choose a default repository in the Slack integration settings. For channel answers, enable the channel, select its repository, and add Graphify to that channel.
- Ask a question in a direct message or mention @Graphify in the enabled channel. Include
owner/repoin a DM when you want to specify a repository.
If Slack is unavailable or marked “Coming soon” in your workspace, contact our team before proceeding. Installation starts inside Graphify so the connection is bound to the right account and workspace.
Start with a real code question
@Graphify where is the webhook retry logic?@Graphify what calls validate_token?In owner/repo, what could be affected if I change the checkout handler?
Replace the repository and function names with ones in your indexed code. Answers depend on the graph's coverage and freshness. Graphify may decline to answer when it cannot find supporting evidence; check the citations before acting on a response. Include the relevant function and repository in each question.
Choose where answers are shared
An admin's channel selection authorizes Graphify to share answers from the selected repository with that channel. Only enable channels whose members should see that code, and review this choice when membership changes. Graphify does not answer in channels shared with other organizations. Use a direct message for questions that should stay private.
Graphify uses Slack profile information and email to match users to Graphify accounts. Its permissions also let it identify channels, receive mentions and direct messages, post answers, and acknowledge questions with reactions. Channel-message permissions support optional, admin-enabled proactive answers and fix-request context. See our privacy policy and subprocessors for data handling details.
Disconnect and get help
A Graphify workspace owner or admin can disconnect Slack from the integration settings. You can also remove Graphify through Slack's app management controls. Disconnecting stops future access; it does not erase messages already posted in Slack. Contact Graphify support for account or data-deletion requests.
- No reply? Check that Slack is connected, indexing has finished, the channel is enabled, and Graphify is a member of it.
- Account could not be matched? Check your email and Graphify workspace membership with an admin.
- Wrong repository? Review the channel's repository setting or name
owner/repoin a direct message.
