The first YC company to hit 100k stars during its batch
· 1 minute read
Graphify passed 100,000 GitHub stars in July, 117 days after the first commit. The project is built by Graphify Labs, part of Y Combinator's S26 batch, and that milestone landed while we were still in it. Jared Friedman at Y Combinator put it plainly:

We were not chasing a number. We were chasing one feeling: you type /graphify in your assistant, and thirty seconds later you have a real map of your codebase, built on your machine, with nothing sent anywhere. Everything else followed from getting that one thing right, including the stars, the 130-plus people who started sending code, and the 150-plus releases we have shipped since.
A batch is a short, strange window. The whole job is to find the smallest thing that works and get it in front of the people who need it, fast. Ours happened to play out in the open, on GitHub, one pull request and one EXTRACTED or INFERRED edge at a time. If you starred the repo, opened an issue, or sent a fix, you built this with us.
The open-source project stays open source. The always-on version, which keeps your code, docs, and meetings mapped in the background and queryable from anywhere, is in early access at app.graphify.com.
Thanks for the stars.
